Music Emotion: Development of iPad Application, eMello

In a team of five members, we developed an eBook reader targeted for children. By employing Natural Language Processing and Machine Learning, eMello scans the contents of each page and plays background music to suit the current mood of the page.

My role was to design the User Interface of the application using Adobe XD, followed by XCode and Swift.

Design and Construction of Novel String Musical Instrument

In collaboration with three team members, we innovated a string instrument to explore and shed light on instrument design research methodology. We researched on the factors affecting sound quality and projection in an acoustic string instrument as well as skills for material crafting.
